DELTA MARSH
North of the City on highway 240

The world
renowned Delta Marsh extends for about 35 km along the south
shore
of
Lake Manitoba
and is located just about 30 minutes north of the City. During
spring and fall migration, it is one of the premiere birding areas in
Canada. Interpretive trails for visitors can be found at St. Ambroise
Provincial Park and in the village of Delta. The Delta Marsh
Birding Festival is held annually in May at the University of
Manitoba's Delta Marsh Field Station located on the west side of the
marsh. The Field Station also provides facilities for research,
education, meetings, conferences and workshops. For more information,

Delta Beach, just west of the Marsh is
a great area for swimming, sunbathing, camping, and relaxing with the
whole family.
