The Southport Aquaplex is located in the Southport Recreation Centre, 3 km south of Portage la Prairie. The aquaplex is complete with 25-meter competition class swimming pool, a whirlpool and a shallow children’s splash pool with a water slide. The pool is wheelchair accessible and has modern change room facilities on the premises. The City of Portage la Prairie offers public swim and lessons at the pool from September through to May each year. IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION Please register in person at the Recreation & Leisure Services Department at City Hall, 97 Saskatchewan Avenue East, Portage la Prairie, MB. Hours for registration will be Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. PAYMENT FOR LESSONS IS DUE AT TIME OF REGISTRATION. Registration may be taken in person or via mail. Mail-in registration requires full payment in the form of a cheque while payment in person includes cheque, cash or interac. If your child received a Progress Report Card during his or her last set of lessons, please bring it at the time of registration. Lessons are subject to change or cancellation depending on the number of participants registered. Any classes without the minimum number of participants may be cancelled or rescheduled.
