Payroll and Benefit Administrator

Under the direction of the Human Resource Officer, the Payroll and Benefit Administrator is responsible for consistently providing excellent customer service regarding payroll accuracy, meeting deadlines, adherence to collective agreements and legislative compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processing biweekly payroll for union and non-union employees.
Thorough analysis of employee change reports for payroll processing
Prepares payroll related reports and monthly remittances
Assists with benefit enrolment and new hire orientation paperwork

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Completion of Grade 12.
Canadian Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation or post-secondary education with a focus on payroll, accounting or related field.
A minimum of two years processing payroll is required.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with Excel spreadsheets.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with ADP Pay @ Work is seen as an asset.

SALARY: This position offers a competitive salary range of $42,248 to $49,703 and a benefit package.

HOURS OF WORK: 8:30 am to 4:30pm, 1 hour for lunch, Monday to Friday

SCOPE: The position falls within the MANAGEMENT & CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEE MANAUAL and is subject to all terms and conditions.
