PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to subsection 162(2) of The Municipal Act that the Council of the City of Portage la Prairie intends to hold a public hearing at City Hall, 97 Saskatchewan Avenue East on the 26th day of April, 2021 at 6:00 pm to present its financial plan for the fiscal year 2021.

Council will hear any person who wishes to make a representation regarding the financial plan. Persons are encouraged to submit their comments or questions in advance of the public hearing by mail or email. All submissions will be read by the City’s Manager of Administration during the public hearing. The City of Portage la Prairie continues to livestream its Council meetings, including Public Hearings on You Tube.

Council is gradually re-opening their meetings to the public. To ensure that there is adequate space for social distancing, the public are asked to pre-register to attend or make a representation to Council, please call 204-239-8337 or email

The 2021 Financial Plan will be available from the 1st day of April 2021 for review on the City’s website at 2021-Financial-Plan.pdf (; at City Hall or it may be mailed or emailed if requested.
