Home occupations and trades that do not operate from a commercially taxed premise are regulated by the City of Portage la Prairie and must meet the proper zoning requirements.
Please contact the Portage la Prairie Planning District at 204-239-8345 to determine whether permits are required. If permits have been issued, please submit copies with your application in the space provided below.

Local Vehicle for Hire
The Local Vehicles for Hire Act came into force on February 28, 2018. Local vehicles for hire are commonly known as taxis, shuttles, limousines for hire, or point-to-point (PTP) vehicles engaged through an application and governed by City regulations specific to ride-sharing services. In response to this legislation, the City of Portage la Prairie developed a Local Vehicles for Hire By-law.
