Interac e-Transfer Instructions

The City of Portage la Prairie can now accept Interac e-Transfers as a secure and convenient 
payment method.

Through online banking, set up a new contact using the email payments@city-plap.com.

Supply the following information in the message field within the e-transfer: 

• Contact Information, email address or phone number 
• For Water - Your account number
• For Taxes - Your Roll number
• For Parking Tickets - The ticket number located top right of ticket, ie:142690 or 
  AC2020000014 
• For Invoices/AR statements – Customer ID, example SMITH001 and Invoice number if any. 
• For Cemetery Plots, Grave openings or Deeds – Your name, phone number, Estate name, 
  and what the payment is for. 
• For Curb Cut/Driveway Permits – Please Include your name, phone number, address.
• For Building Service Connection Permits – Please Include your name, phone number, address 
  of service connection location. 
• Identify any payment instructions, such as specific invoices/accounts to apply payment.
