Election Day Voting

Election day is Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Details on voting locations will be released closer to election day. Residents are encouraged to check back regularly as information will be added as it becomes available. 

Advanced Poll

Advance Voting will take place on Saturday, October 17, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Herman Prior Activity Centre.

Sealed Envelope Voting

Any voter who is unable to attend a regular or advance polling place in person may apply to vote by sealed envelope in one of the following manners:

• in writing to the Senior Election Official at City Hall, 97 Saskatchewan Avenue E, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 0L8;
• by email to the SEO at dvanaert@city-plap.com;
• online at https://forms.city-plap.com/Application-to-Vote-by-Sealed-Envelope;
• in person at City Hall between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Mail, Email, or Online - Voters may apply between July 30, 2026 and October 25, 2026, and will receive a sealed envelope ballot package by regular post or by making alternative arrangements with the SEO.

In Person - Voters may apply between September 30, 2026 and October 25, 2026, and may pick up a sealed envelope ballot package at the time of application.
