Notice of Registration of Prospective Candidates for General Municipal Election

NOTICE OF REGISTRATION
OF PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATES FOR
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
CITY OF PORTAGE LA PRAIRIE

Please be advised that a general election will be held on October 28, 2026.

Prospective municipal election candidates must register with the Senior Election Official (SEO) during the registration period before they may begin to accept contributions, incur expenses, fundraise, or borrow money for their campaign. 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that I will be receiving candidate registrations:

• For the office of Mayor:        Between May 1, 2026 and September 22, 2026
• For the office of Councillor:  Between June 30, 2026 and September 22, 2026

at City Hall, 97 Saskatchewan Avenue East, during the regular hours of business being 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. To obtain a registration form, or for more information, contact the SEO at the telephone number or email address listed below.
