Public Service Announcement - Military Training to be conducted within Portage la Prairie

From April 19–25, 2026, approximately 50 soldiers from the Canadian Army will be conducting a Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) exercise in and around the City of Portage La Prairie. Exercise BALTIC COOPERATION is focused on training military personnel to respectfully engage and build relationships with civilians, local governments, and community organizations.

During this time, soldiers will be dressed in full gear, including weapons and protective equipment, and may be seen around military and civilian buildings. No ammunition will be used, and the exercise will not affect day-to-day city activities.
