Spring Cleaning is Underway!

Spring cleaning has begun, and the City of Portage Public Works team is gearing up for a busy season. Crews will be working through our seasonal Saskatchewan Avenue clean-up, street sweeping program, pavement repairs, and beautification efforts across parks, walking paths, cemeteries, and other public spaces.

Our team is responsible for removing debris from more than 100 km of hard-surface roadways, sidewalks, and walking paths. Weekly updates on our progress will be shared on our social media channels beginning today.

As of this morning, operations staff are actively cleaning along Saskatchewan Avenue. Please slow down and follow all posted traffic signage to help keep our crews safe. Overnight sweeping operations will focus on priority routes as well as continued clean-up along Saskatchewan Avenue.
