Temp Part-Time Operations Clerk

6 Months with potential to become a permanent position.

The City of Portage la Prairie is accepting resumes for the position of Operations Clerk. Under the direction of the Administrative Assistant - Operations, receives the public, responds to inquiries, prepares and maintains data records using spreadsheets and databases and performs other clerical duties for the Operations Department.

REQUIRED TO OPERATE EQUIPMENT SUCH AS: 
Computer (Microsoft Word, Intermediate Excel and Outlook), printer, photocopier, facsimile machine, 2-way radio, calculator, telephone system.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Grade 12 graduation plus an additional business-related program up to one year or equivalent.
Experience, over two years, up to and including three years.

HOURS OF WORK: Regular hours of work are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with 1 hour lunch; however, hours may vary (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) to accommodate vacation and leave coverage.

SALARY:  $29.12 per hour, as per CUPE Collective Agreement.
