Youth Member of Council Applications Open for 2026-2027 Term
Mayor Knox and Council are seeking nominations for the 2026/27 Youth Member of Council position.
If you are under the age of 18, enrolled as a full-time student, and a resident of the City of Portage la Prairie, you can self-nominate.
Potential candidates interested in becoming the next Youth Member of Council can fill out an online application form, found here: https://forms.city-plap.com/Youth-Member-of-Council-Application. The deadline to submit your nomination is Friday, October 2nd, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.
