    The City of Portage la Prairie announces that City Manager Nathan Peto will be departing from his position after seven years of dedicated service. Mr. Peto will be leaving to pursue a new professional opportunity. His last day with the City will be January 27th, 2025.

  • Budget Consultation Survey

    The City of Portage la Prairie is beginning to work on the 2025 Budget, and we want to hear from you!  Please complete our Budget Consultation Survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VLQW9TG to let us know what is important to you and what you would like to see in next year’s budget!  Survey will close on November 30th, 2024.

  • Budget Meeting

    On Monday, October 28th, 2024 at 7:30pm (or immediately following the 6:00pm Council and Committee meetings), Council will hold a Budget Meeting to review Community Grant Applications.  The meeting will take place at Stride Place, 245 Royal Road S.  To respect the confidentiality of the applicants, the majority of this meeting will take place in camera.

  • Community Safety Officer Program Update

    We would like to inform the community that three members of our Community Safety Officer (CSO) team are transitioning to new careers, with some continuing to serve locally as Police Officers with a regional police force.

  • Fall Clean Up at City Cemeteries

    Please be advised that all flowers, vases, wreaths, fences, solar lights, figurines etc. must be removed from Hillside Cemetery, Hillside Memorial and St. Mary’s Cemetery by Thursday, October 31, 2024.   Any plastic flowers and vases not removed by that date will be discarded.
